The 70's called, they want their kitchen back!!

Well then take the d@!* thing, I didn't want it anyway! That is right, we are FINALLY getting rid of our seventies kitchen. After the rest of the home remodel, we are just too wiped out to do it ourselves.
I mean, I do love the bright pink oven and range that are placed at opposite ends of the kitchen from each other. I love the vertical striped pink and white wallpaper and the lovely pink linoleum, but it is time to return it to its rightful owner...the seventies.
We had the designs drafted today and colors are picked out. It will be a sad day in the Ketcham household when they come to demolish the pink princess, but it is due time!
Stay tuned for some awesome photos of the kitchen at it's finest!

Shout Out to the Camel Pups!

This is a huge thank you and a shout out to my friend Camille, AKA- "Camel Pups!" She really loves it when I call her that! Right Cam?
You see, I have been eyeing these fabulous seat belt bags for some time now, but could never justify buying one! They are very trendy, very cute, and oh so functional!!

While I was in the hospital, Brade brought me this lovely package that had been delivered to our home. Much to my surprise and delight-this is what I found inside!
The black seat belt bag AND WALLET that I had been longing for! Cam, you are the best. I can't believe you! Thank you again!

Daddy's Little Princess

Bentley has officially melted Brade's heart. Brade is a man of few words until it comes to his one-on-one time with Bee. He lays on the floor with her and just chats away to her. Telling her all about what fun things they are going to experience when she is older and "how perfectly pretty she is!" It is enough to make a grown mom shed a tear of two.Bentley has also learned that Daddy is sucker for anything she wants. She has been dying to have this new stroller to match her carseat and of course Dad could not wait to get it for her! It shipped out today and Bee is just way too excited to sleep awaiting its arrival!!

Mom Day

I have been out of touch with the blog lately, but I do feel a special connection with all of you. I am still creeping daily, but just feel like I only have one subject to write about these days and I am sure all of you are getting a little tired of reading about by dreamboat daughter!

As my close friends and family can attest, I thought I would never say this, but...I could really, really see myself as a stay at home mom. I love this. I have had the time of my life the last three weeks. I am serious. Bentley and I cruise around all day doing some shopping, visiting, playdates, and just plain hanging out.

I had to go to Salt Lake today for a meeting with the Utah Film Commission (great movies being filmed in Utah now, YEA! )and kind of gave me a reality check. I am pretty sure I don't want to go back to work. I missed her like crazy and heaven forbid we have a schedule to keep.

I still have a few weeks to slowly work back into the career scene, but for now, I am eating up every minute I have staying home being with Brade and Bent!

And just cause....some photos!!

New Favorite Indulgence!!

A little bit of heaven!

For three square meals a day when I was in the hospital I enjoyed this delectable goodness and could not quite give them up upon returning home. After a quick trip to the local grocer and some advice from my best cousin, Bobbi, I have lived on these things!!

So mine is not as pretty as the ones at Mckay, but if you are looking to replicate the masterpiece, start with some good ol' fashioned vanilla yogurt, add crushed Nature Valley Granola Bars, and a fruit medley of your choice! The secret is to let it sit for a minute so the granola soaks in some yogurt and gets a little soft!!

MMMM!

P.S. thank you to my wonderful friends for making feel better after my run in last night. You guys are great!

XTERRA Winter Championships...Bad Mom Day!

Looking for something fun and inspiring to do this weekend? Scoot on up to Snowbasin for the first annual XTERRA Winter World's! This event is HUGE for Ogden and Snowbasin. It brings in athletes from all over the world to compete in various on snow competitions. It is a very spectator friendly sport and there will be great entertainment and great FOOD! For more details check out http://www.xterraplanet.com/
I have been privileged to have been on the planning committee for this event and it sure to be a crowd pleaser! Event planning is something I love to do, and fortunately my job allows me to get involved and use my creative side. There are however downfalls as well. Sometimes you just can't plan an event around your due date, so needless to say I have had to work and show up at events this weekend. This is where the bad mom day comes into play.
I had to make an appearance this evening at the registration/kick off party and yes, I took Bent with me!!
Great time had by all, Bentley was an angel, night went well...I think I will go home. Oh no, as I am walking out the door, mean lady starts to yell. Yes, yell at me. She proceeds to humiliate me in front of the innocent bystanders about how I am endangering my child and I need to take her home right this instant. "Don't you know this is RSV season" She exclaims, now louder than before! Approximatly five minutes later I just give her a half hearted smile, cover my child with a blanket and crawl out the door with my last ounce of dignity!!
Let me crawl in a hole, cover my face and cry. Am I the worst mother ever?

Love, Love, Love Veronica Reeve

Yesterday, my good friend, and amazing photographer came over to shoot some photos of Bee. She is amazing and Bentley somewhat cooperated. She has posted a few on her blog if you would like to take a sneak peek!
Veronica is a wonderful, wonderful photographer if you are looking for some updated photos of your children or your family. She did Amy's a couple of months ago as well and they turned out GREAT!
