Workin 9-5!

Here I am, back to the daily grind! I am officially a career woman again. Well, is it official if you bring your daughter to work? Getting back to the daily routine of a working woman has not been the easiest thing in the world, but I am very fortunate to have the job I do. The past two weeks have been spent juggling Bentley between my sisters, sister-in-law and most of the time, at my office.

Luckily, everyone at the office loves her and she just sleeps on whomever will have her. My boss, Rich, LOVES his adopted granddaughter. She just fits perfectly in his lap while he works away!

A big thank you to my family and coworkers for making the transition as smooth as possible. Of course, Brade, the superhero dad!!

We love our little Gal!

Two Months and Counting!

Bentley is two months today! At her two week appt. her doctor told me she would be getting shots today and she suggested I bring moral support. I begged Brade to come with me, but he insisted he was just TOO busy at work. I hung my head low as I walked through the doors to Bentley's doomsday, and much to my surprise...there was my cute little husband waiting there for me. He even drove somebody else's truck for a better disguise. He said he had been planning all along to be there, he just wanted me to fret over it a little. Cute little man!

She is growing like a weed:

Length: 23 1/2 in. 85%

Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz 55%

Head 39.4 cm 70%

She screamed the saddest cry I have ever heard when they poked her and she has not stopped since. I feel so bad for her.

Dr. Ann is worried her skull is closing too quickly. We have an appt. tomorrow with Radiology to get a Skull Series X-Ray to make sure everything is OK!

You are giving me an ULCER..in my EYE!

I woke up for that lovely 3 a.m. feeding Sunday morning and could barely open my eye to the soft light of the living room lamp, let alone the blaring spotlight of the TV. My eye hurt so bad and my head was throbbing! After two more feedings of complete misery, I decided to call in the experts.

Sure enough, Corneal Ulcer.
If you look closely you can see my crazy eye! Needless to say, this WONDERFUL sun is doing a number on my ability to see! I will still take it any day over the winter blues!

Three Weeks of Non-Stop...FUN?

This sounds like a confessional, but forgive me...it has been three weeks since my last post.

We have been on the go and on the not so bright sickness train!

Easter weekend was FABULOUS! We spent Easter Eve with Brade's family at the local links!
We finally had decent weather and we took advantage! We had a fun BBQ at Brade's dad's and Bentley got a darling Easter basket from JEN! She loved it!

Easter Sunday was filled with fun, an easter egg hunt at my mom's for adults, including cash and gift certificates!! Bentley was not surprisingly spoiled by my mom with new jewelry, clothes and toys!

I am a bad parent and did not take any pictures of Bent in her new Easter dress or outfit before she spit up all over it.

After hitting the links here in sweaters and long sleeves, we decided enough is enough. We longed for the short sleeve polos and plaid shorts...and we took off...to St. George that is.

We had a TREMENDOUS time in the 80 degree weather. We had one minor set back...ear infections and a sinus infection.

Poor Bent was so sick, but such a trooper. I felt so bad for her! Her first little vacation and she can't even enjoy her mini skirts and tank tops she was sporting! Bentley and I were supposed to head to Vegas to shop and see my friend Stac while Brade golfed, but when she woke up with a fever and just plain grump, we decided to hold off. (I promise we will make it down in the next month Stac)

Needless to say, we have had MANY sleepless nights and a lot of crabby moments...ALL AROUND!

She is on the up and up just in time for me to go back to work tomorrow! We celebrated one last weekend as a career free woman with a day of shopping with my sister-in-laws in SLC, game night with the gals at Maima's that night

and a feirce Sunday night WII competition at my uncles!

As a HILARIOUS side note:

I was on my way to SLC on Saturday and came upon this car next me...just take a look! (Click on photo)

Great Time Had By All!

I took a leap of faith and offered to host our monthly GNO! When I extended the invitation last month, I was thinking I would WOW everyone with some home cooking and fabulous hot out of the oven dessert. Well, we all know how much I cook and comfortable I feel in the kitchen!!

Needless to say, my WONDERFUL and THOUGHTFUL mother whipped us up a FABULOUS dinner. She offered! She whipped up a delicious Chinese Chicken Salad and her delectable homemade rolls. Thanks again Mom. Brade worked his magic in the kitchen and gave us a wonderful chocolate fountain. I did a great job of putting the items in a bowl and putting some plates out! Then my wonderful husband packed up the babe and he Bent had a Daddy Daughter date at his dad's to watch the Jazz game. He really is a dream boat! Thanks honey!

But, wait...it gets even better! Those who were present were also presented with their Blogger's Choice Awards. Everyone was so grateful for their nomination. It was a proud moment for each recipient!

Stay tuned for a full list of Blogger's Choice Award winners!!

Utah's Finest...Hogle Zoo!

Amy's always gets upset because she will post something and then I will just reference her blog, but when you do everything together and then she beats me to the punch at posting it, I really don't have a choice, right?
So, we went to the zoo...had a blast...check it out here!!
